|
|
Hey guys, hows it going? Long time no talky.
I'm selling my plates...and then my zed. First though, the plates. Listed on trademe:
http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=927209756
My baby has been sitting in the garage now for a couple of years hardly used. The fact is it's difficult to get out of the garage because of the slope and how low it is, so I don't bother. I think I should get a reasonable price for the plates so they are the first to go. I have a bit of work to do on the car before I put that up for sale...you know, tidying up the paint, interior, putting on the parts that I ahve saved for years and never got round to completing.
Oh year...I have a spare TT engine for sale too...bored out, new bearings, heads reconned...nice and shiny along with hybrid turbos. no, wait, this is about the plates. Engine later!
By the way, how is everyone?

Hey Jason! Good to hear from you
Sad you are selling the Z, hope it goes to a good home.
Are you still doing the Blazt cables?

Not really. I have some old stock here but not sure how you would register the software. I think Tom is still selling Datascan.
I was worried yesterday that the forum had died! No-one was on here. Good to see there is still some interest. _________________ The plural of moron is focus group

It's block, bottom end, heads, turbos.
It can be easily inspected in Hamilton.
The block has been bored out as far as it will go which technically means it would be a 3.2 litre.
Once built up it should deliver some impressive power. I think I have a spare TT ECU as well if your interested.
I will need to get you more details on the type of parts used, I don't have that info handy.
It will need a 100K full service kit to go to the next stage then it's ready to bolt on all the hangy-off parts from your old engine.
Would you like me to get more details? Are you handy to Hamilton? _________________ The plural of moron is focus group

Wouldn't that mean it has been bored to 91mm? (Stock is 87mm)
There was not enough meat in any of the VG30 blocks I had sonic checked to do that. When JUN and TOMEI go to 91mm pistons I think they fit bore liners.
Be very interested in how they did that, did they fit liners or did they find a block with enough thickness or did they fill up the block? |

Hi Jason,
How are you? Long time. If it's the block you got off me, from memory it was bored to take 90mm (3mm over) pistons, which works out to about 3,2l
Cheers, MM. |

Hey Mike,
Yeah, it's been a while. I'm doing ok and lots has happened, maybe a catchup sometime.
Mike C - It's the block I got from Mad Mike a while ago along with the pistons, rods etc. MM would be best to answer the questions as he got it done. It's 90mm bored, not sure of the process. _________________ The plural of moron is focus group

Im interested in the engine depending on price, i brought carls half built engine awhile ago which was mikes old block as well i think, but it ended up getting stolen prior to it being sent to me
I actually have a full 120k kit sitting at home ready for my car but im looking for an engine for 400kw safely and easy and wanted to buy a 2nd engine without doing internals to my current engine since i still like driving it.
Im in nelson so cant view, if you pm me a rough price we can go from there |
