Having rage-quit on my Z after yet another set of rust holes appearing underneath, I left the horrid red thing sitting behind the house under a cover for a few years.
A recent job change requires me to move to another city, so it was either part this thing out or get it wof-able again and take it with me. Sooo... the rust has been repaired and I find out in a couple of days if it passes inspection.
Greets all, haven't posted here since 2011 I think, but hope to be out on the road enjoying my Z again real soon. Will have to find some other Z lovers to meet up with when I get to my new home.

Hi Les,
Good to hear from you! I'm in Sydney, but travel to Auckland regularly and will be keen to catch up when our paths cross.
All the best with the resurrection - keep us posted.
Cheers, MM. |

Awesome that you're saving your Z and getting her back on the road again. |

Ahh what short-lived and transient dreams.
No cruising down the highway for me.
They found at least 3 more areas of rust, various mechanical failings (was expecting those) and nearly ran out of stationery listing all the fails. No wof, no future for this Z I suspect.
Given the amount of work required on this sad old beast I am inclined to take my engine and move on to another body. Anyone know of a clean carcass in need of a new engine? _________________ 1990 300ZX TT 2x2 Manual (with auto engine from my previous Z) |

Red, but not factory red. Had it painted slightly darker a few years ago. _________________ 1990 300ZX TT 2x2 Manual (with auto engine from my previous Z) |
