Hello everyone,
My partner (Karin) and I (Xavier) just acquired 300zxes. Long stoy short, since I'm in New Zealand I've seen few around and always found them really nice. Lately my partner arrived in NZ and had to get a car and we were talking about what car she would like to have when we saw right next to us a 300zx. I showed her the car telling her i always liked them (the look as i never drove one). She looked at it and said almost straight away that it will be her next car . So a month or so back we got a real bargain on a 300zx na black manual. Too good to be true as we later found out that the body had really bad rust and was not worth fixing. At the same time i got my car stolen and decided to get myself a 300zx tt 91, and find another real cheap (1500) na black auto for her.
So we have now a grey 91 tt 2+2 and a black 90 na 2+2.
Both need some love to get back to their glory, and we are more than willing to give it
I'm gonna post pictures of the cars tomorrow.
Hers is already having the transmission switch to the manual we got at first + other better parts.
We are also very keen to meet other members during organised events or not to get to know the 300zx community and to have tips on many many subjects.
Have a great day and talk to you soon.
Karin (german) and Xavier (french). (So all apologies for any english mistakes) |

Hi and welcome, I hope for your sakes you got lucky, cheap 300ZX's can get very expensive, very fast! They are however awesomely awesome cars and almost worth the stress!
Glenn (mungyz) is the person to see if you need work done, that's probably the best tip there is. |

Welcome!
Knowledge helps with keeping the Z well maintained, and a club is a good source. Post lots of photos for us
And I hope to meet you both at a breakfast / brunch meeting or at a Z-Club event sometime in future. _________________ A to B via Z! |

Bit overdue I think, coming into spring now so hopefully some decent weather incoming.
Hopefully I should be able to make it to the next one, on call work can be a pain |

Random Auckland weather doesn't help. Z-Club have dinner meets now, and go-karting organized for this month.
But first chance of a sunny weekend please feel free to organize a 300zx meet, and count me in _________________ A to B via Z! |

Although sunny weather is preferable, a well maintained Z, with good tyres, is a pleasure to drive in any weather! Some of the best and most memorable breakfast meetings I've attended have been in bad weather at The Brigham in Hobsonville during questionable weather.
As long as you have a venue with good parking and room for a decent heated table outside under shelter - it'll be great.
So go ahead and organise something anyway! |

Thx guys/gals for the welcome messages.
I'm gonna try to contact Glenn as he actually might know my 300zx, as I bought it in Hamilton Moreover I was really looking for someone experienced in 300zx to have a look at it (idle problem), and of course I wouldn't mind driving to Hamilton
@ZILVER: I'm gonna check Z-Club too
@Vicious: Well unlucky with the first one (ie body completely rusted) but lucky on the second. 1500$ for a NA 126000km auto. Sure some joints aren't perfect, it was leaking from the targa top a bit, but overall ok. Good base to make it real nice I think (but I might be wrong ).
Btw I will have some parts to sell soon (e.g NA auto transmission 120000km, ...). I'm gonna open new thread on the forum (if ok) to let people here knows before I put this on trademe.
Cheers |

Karting was last Saturday, lots of fun as always. And the Zclub dinner was last night.

The ZClub has a tech night in a couple of weeks time too.
